My Philosophy
as a Psychotherapist!

I don’t believe people can be reduced to a diagnosis or a label. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on understanding how each individual uniquely experiences emotions, stress, relationships, and the world around them.

Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply attuned to you.  Together, we begin to make sense of what you’re feeling so you can move through life with more clarity, self-trust, and steadiness.

Support for Sensitive Women in Midlife & Perimenopause

Perimenopause can feel confusing, overwhelming, and emotionally intense, especially for women who already experience the world deeply.

Many women notice increased anxiety, emotional reactivity, burnout, overstimulation, or a sense that they no longer feel like themselves. Often, they’ve spent years trying to push through these feelings without fully understanding what’s happening underneath them.

My work offers a space to slow down, make sense of these shifts, and support your emotional wellbeing through this stage of life with greater clarity, steadiness, and self-understanding.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Every person is different, so therapy with me is never one-size-fits-all.

In the beginning, I spend time getting to know you deeply by learning how you think, how you process emotions, what overwhelms you, what patterns you’ve developed, and what may no longer be working for you.

Some sessions are more insight-oriented, while others are more practical and focused on helping you regulate, problem-solve, process emotions, or navigate difficult situations. Over time, therapy becomes a collaborative process where we begin to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface so you can feel more grounded, clear, and connected to yourself.

  • I offer both in-person sessions in Midland Park, NJ and telehealth sessions for clients located in New Jersey.I currently offer in-person appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

After the initial session, we can decide together what format works best for your needs and schedule.

  • I am in-network with Cigna/Evernorth and out-of-network with all other insurance plans.

For out-of-network clients, I work with Mentaya, a service that helps simplify reimbursement and insurance submissions. I can also provide superbills if you prefer to submit claims independently.

  • Clients receive a copy of my policies before beginning therapy.

Each client is allowed one missed or late-cancelled session per calendar year without charge. Additional missed or late-cancelled sessions are billed at the full session fee unless there is an emergency situation.

  • Absolutely not.

While many of my clients identify as highly sensitive or emotionally overwhelmed, I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, men, women, and people across many different life experiences and backgrounds.

What matters most to me is understanding the individual person, not forcing people into a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Clients often come to me because they want a therapist who is deeply attuned, thoughtful, and able to understand both the emotional and practical sides of what they’re experiencing.

  • My approach is individualized and draws from a variety of therapeutic perspectives depending on your needs and goals. Some of the approaches I incorporate include psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), ERP-informed techniques, strengths-based therapy, and nervous system-focused work.

My work is also informed by what I describe as an Attuned Self approach, a deeply individualized and emotionally attuned way of understanding each person’s unique emotional world, nervous system, life experiences, and patterns.

More than anything, therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. I focus on creating an approach that feels genuinely aligned with who you are and what you need.

  • I work with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, self-esteem struggles, relationship stress, grief, burnout, OCD-related symptoms, ADHD, identity shifts, parenting stress, nervous system dysregulation, and midlife changes.

I also work with highly sensitive people and individuals who feel deeply affected by the emotional intensity of the world around them.

  • Absolutely.

Many people I work with are highly capable, responsible, and outwardly functioning well but internally feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel sustainable.

Therapy can help you better understand yourself, your patterns, your emotional responses, and what your mind and body may be trying to communicate beneath the surface.

  • Most clients begin therapy meeting weekly so we can build momentum and establish a strong foundation for the work.

Over time, some clients choose to transition to biweekly or maintenance sessions depending on their needs, goals, and stage of life.

  • Yes. Therapy is confidential and protected by HIPAA and professional ethical standards.

The only exceptions involve situations where there is concern about immediate safety or legal requirements related to harm to yourself or others.

A Note About Payment & Insurance

I am in-network with CIGNA/Evernorth insurance and also accept self-pay clients.

After you have paid for your session(s), I can give you a superbill to submit to your insurance and get reimbursed by out-of-network benefits.

One additional option: I am signed up with Mentaya which is a company that submits all of your bills and gets them reimbursed for you — the charge for this service is 5% of the bill.
